Ridgestock Music and Sustainability Expo began in 1999 as a small local music venue and has grown organically over the years to encompass the whole community coming together to work toward a common vision of sustainability. The festival is now in its 16th year and we have an EPIC show planned for Saturday, August 15th! Get the early-bird price by buying tickets ahead through Brown Paper Tickets as well as at Briar Patch Co-Op and Mother Truckers.

Our headliner is none other than Chali 2na from Jurassic 5 along with a stellar 12 piece hip hop, soul, and R&B crew called HOUSE OF VIBE ALL STARS with members of Luminaries, Fishbone & Ozomatli (pictured at right)!! Along with HOV, we have the MERMEN, the original psychedelic surf rock trio that created the genre of surf. We also will showcase local bands and dancers. Those acts include Jose Najera and the Bernal Beat, Warafoli African Dancers and Drummers, Golden Shoulders and much more.

Throughout the years, and with the community's commitment to positive change, Ridgestock has featured renowned speakers on topics such as alternative energy sources, cob and strawbale building, organic gardening and farming, energy efficient cars, local economy forums, and more. We have over 33 vendors and information booths, a kids space with activities and a musical performance, as well as organic food and beer.  And don't forget about our daytime activities that are fun for the whole family. The late afternoon includes special kids programming that will feature a magic show by Nick Federoff

There is certain to be good food, good company, and a stellar line-up of the most innovative and entertaining speakers and performers. It is truly a unique experience in the Sierras as we celebrate another year in the foothills.

Saturday, August 15th 11am-11pm at the North Columbia or facebook for more info!!
