Mermaid Resurrection All American BBQ Buffet

From Burgee Dave’s Fire Restoration gofundme page:

On Thursday, July 20 we woke up to the smell of smoke.  Burgee Daves was on fire.  The fire started in the back room we believe from the hot water heater. We find ourselves with little coverage and ability to fund fire restoration.  We are asking for your support to help us restore what has been damaged by the fire. We employ 15 local residents of the Camptonville area , some of which who are adults working for the very first time.  We would like to find a way to keep this business going, keep them employed and bring all the service smiles and fun back to our customers. We plan to stay open utilizing our backyard and barbecue area. The ability to raise money while working is key to being able to bring us to a normal working condition. The building itself is 109 years old.  It was built by William Bull Meek for his friend Orwin Mayo after the building had burned down in 1906. The bar itself was built in the 1800s and is still standing.  It withstood the fire and flames and smoke.  We see it as a miracle and a sign that we need to rebuild this business.  The rest of the restaurant is about 60% destroyed. We at Burgee Dave's have dedicated ourselves to our community and to our customers.  We will be rebuilding out of pocket & could use all the monetary support we can get to help us through this unforeseen fire.

Thank you for your support ~ Brian and Sandi
