Library Update

During these cold winter months, the SJR Community Library is a warm place to be, a vibrating little hive of activity! In the children’s room, we are celebrating snow, with snowy day books being highlighted. We’ve over 6200 books, DVD s, talking books, periodicals, and more in our collection at this time! Wi-Fi and computers are available, with comfortable places to work at.  On Tuesdays between 1-3, and Thursdays, 10-12, you’ll find the back room humming with busy stitchers working on the latest Tapestry project. Please come and join in!

With all this buzzing, the Library is still a quiet place to concentrate, research, or disappear into another time and place. We have an especially wonderful collection of young adult literature! Everyone’s patience is much appreciated while we  wait for our book-drop to arrive.

The board and director wish to thank Rachel Navarette for her time as our Treasurer. She is a busy woman, and her efforts are so appreciated. We are welcoming Tina Tissone  as our new Treasurer. Volunteers are welcome to come in and help with different projects; shelving books, cutting snowflakes, who knows…? There also is an ongoing need for funding. Grants are being worked on, and at this time we are still a 100% volunteer organization.  We are non-profit, all donations are tax deductible. If you find yourself with more than you need, remember your local, public Library!

Our hours continue to be Tuesday and Thursday 11-7, Saturday 10-4. See you at the Library!
