Reverend Yvonne “Pinkie” Varner could be seen during the 2014 Cherry Festival Parade last summer marrying two local love-birds, Charlie & Sherry Whittlesey, on the parade route on The First Traveling Church of North San Juan.  Upon request from the community of North San Juan, Reverend Varner (pictured below) has had the opportunity to rent the chapel at the North San Juan Community Center located at 29190 State Hwy 49, North San Juan, Ca. 95960.  The church service on Sunday mornings will take place starting February 1st at 11:00 am every Sunday.  Service will be followed by sharing of “Stone Soup”.  They're calling it “Stone Soup” because there is no menu.  They are asking a meager donation of $1.00 for a bowl of soup.  There will also be available to the public  - baptisms every Sunday after regular service!
Many people who reside here have had the chance to talk to Rev. Varner and get to know her.  Her take on the Bible is easy to understand and communicate.  She attended Liberty University Online majoring in Theology and received her non-denominational ordination from the Universal Life Church The Monastery.  She is so looking forward to seeing you at church!  Stop in any Sunday beginning in February and see what they have to offer.  Who knows?  You may even like it.  The North San Juan Community Church, 29190 State Hwy 49, North San Juan, Ca. 95960 on the grounds at the Community Center – look for the signs!
