Greetings from the San Juan Ridge Community Library! We are keeping busy in these chilly days! Our collection is continuing to grow with over 12,183 items and over 730 patrons utilizing books, dvds, our computers and our WIFI. Not to mention our beautiful PARK that we are blessed to be surrounded by, complete with goats and sheep (Thanks, Tabor!) It’s an exciting time here at SJRCL, check out what’s new:

SOME NEW NEWS!

We’ve launched our SEED LIBRARY in January with great success! Many Thanks to Honey Circle Farms and Ruby Turple!  There is a big orange, brightly painted file cabinet full of flower seed and vegetable seeds. It’s pretty simple; there are jars full of seeds, envelopes for you to take them home in and a short sheet that tells us what you checked out. Ideally, you grow it and return some seeds to the jar. Or simply bring in some seeds from your garden.  Everything died? No worries! Try again! That is the beauty and benefit of sharing and gathering our local seeds: there is no risk, only love! Thank you everyone that came out to share your abundance, we look forward to our spring SEED SWAP! Stay tuned!

VOTING BOX! That’s right! You’ll be able to cast your very important ballot at your local library! Make sure you are stopping when we are open because it is located inside.

LIBRARY ANNUAL FUNDRAISER: SATURADAY APRIL 4TH Mark your calendars for another epic event at the SHADY CREEK OUTDOOR SCHOOL CONFERNECE CENTER. This year, we are having ACHILLES WHEEL TRIO plus tapas and treats with your ticket purchase.  We will also have beer and wine for sale and, of course, we will be selling books!
