Usually the wettest month of the year, February has shed her dreary mantle and emerged as a bringer of sunshine to our foothill home. A sunny respite serves to remind us that spring is just around the corner and with it, springtime activities at the FRC. A March visit by a very special group of Tibetan Buddhist monks and April’s 5th annual Earth Day Celebration are now on the horizon, with summer SPORTS CAMP and ART CAMP following not far behind.

Flower bulbs are popping up from their wintry slumber and tree buds swell, readying to burst into bloom when the time is right. Soon another winter will have passed. Although there is still plenty of time to curl up by a warm fire, enjoy the aroma of a pot of soup simmering on the stove, and take a long walk in the quiet of late winter, its time to start planning for a warmer, more active time. The days are noticeably longer. The sun is noticeably brighter. And we are noticeably busier, preparing for a bright future filled with fun.
