The San Juan Ridge Family Resource Center very much appreciates a group of Americorps workers who pitched in to lend a hand with making the Oak Tree Campus more fire safe by raking fallen leaves from roof tops and around buildings. They also cleaned and completely reorganized the Tsi-Akim Tribal/Keyman Jim Memorial Library, bagged commodities for the food pantry, and even helped decorate the Oak Tree Lodge for our annual Toys-4-Tots holiday event. Whatever the task at hand, this little band of hardworking young men and women undertook it with an enthusiastic verve and a broad smile. We are also grateful to Shady Creek Outdoor School Director Shannon Cueva for arranging the Americorps visits. They lightened our load and brightened our world.
