The San Juan Ridge Family Resource Center invites young adults ages 11 and up to plug in to our first ever Tech Camp.  Campers will practice skills on common devices, learn about safe and appropriate ways to explore the digital world and enjoy the camaraderie of peers at this unique three-day summer camp.  Lisa Rowe, Instructor, will guide campers in group and individuals tech projects.  Participants will also get a chance to try out some traditional (read: non-electronic!) summer camp interactive games.

Tech Camp will be held Tuesday, June 30th-Thursday, July 2nd from 9am-2pm at the San Juan Ridge Family Resource Center.

Activities are designed to be student-driven so that they can be matched to the skill level of the individual campers.  Beginners are welcome.

The fee for Tech Camp is $30/camper.  Lunch and snack are not provided.

During camp, electronic devices will be used for directed activities, not for personal entertainment or games.  Campers are encouraged to bring personal electronic devices that can access an internet browser: tablets, smart phones, laptops (no Kindle Fires).

Would you like to be a Co-Teacher?

We are seeking two tech savvy 14-18 year olds who are experienced with more than one type of device, want to share their knowledge with others, and would like job experience to build a resume.  Camp fees will be waived for co-teachers.

Call 292.3174 with any questions, to enroll or to inquire about becoming a co-teacher.
