by Diana Pasquini, San Juan Ridge Family Resource CenterWinging their way North, the sand hill cranes have been proclaiming the arrival of a somewhat reluctant and more than welcome Spring. Migrating species are on the move, returning to their summer homes. Blooming narcissus and budding orchards beckon to hungry bees. The signs are unmistakable. Not just a prelude to summer, Spring is a season that stands on her own. Fields don’t get any greener. Birds don’t sing any sweeter. New life is rapidly emerging, bursting forth in an explosion of sounds, scents, and colors. Our old friend, The Sun, has returned, bearing his precious gifts of warmth and light. It’s okay to bask a bit. Please do stop and smell the flowers. Take long, deep breaths. Listen to life humming as Earth renews herself. Life is rejoicing and we are part of the celebration. WAKE UP! It’s Spring!
