Families with preschool aged children are invited to learn about opportunities for fall enrollment at the KidZCommunity Early Learning Center (formerly known as Head Start Preschool) at a Meet & Greet event to be held in late March. Families can tour the facility, ask questions about the program and enroll if ready to do so.

Early childhood education is critical and numerous studies point to the many benefits of quality preschool experiences. According to First 5 Nevada County, “Early childhood investments last a lifetime: children are learning from the moment they’re born. The first five years are the most rapid period of brain growth, with nearly 90% of brain development occurring by age 5... Experiences in the early years affect the physical structure of the brain and shape the capacities children will have for the rest of their lives.”

All are welcome to attend the Meet & Greet event, set to take place Wednesday, March 27th 1:30-3 pm at the KidZCommunity Early Learning Center, located at 18847 Oak Tree Road (next to the colorful San Juan Ridge Community Library and Parks building). Snacks and refreshments, as well as childcare, will be provided.

If you plan to enroll a child, please bring the following documents: birth certificate, current medical physical paperwork from your doctor, current immunization card, proof of residency (i.e. utility bill, rental or lease agreement/contract) and family size verification-birth certificate for all children in your family.
