The lending library at the Family Resource Center now offers new titles on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer issues thanks to a generous donation by PFLAG Nevada County.  The collection includes non-fiction works like Queer America: A People’s GLBT History of the 20th Century and Beyond Magenta: Transgender Teens Speak Out, as well as young adult fiction titles like Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic, Empress of the World, and Artistotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe.

PFLAG Nevada County provides information and support for parents, families and friends of lesbians and gays, moving equality forward in Nevada County.  In addition to periodic events, the group hosts a monthly speaker and support meeting on the 4th Tuesday of each month.

For more information on PFLAG, visit their website at or call 274.1423.  To check out these books, please visit the Family Resource Center during our open hours, listed on page 9 or feel to reach out by phone at 292.3174.
