Tip – Asset #14 – Adult role models
For Thanksgiving dinner, consider having everyone in the family responsible for making one of the foods, with guidance as needed, doing as much as safely possible from selection to completion. A child as young as 3 can fill celery sticks and slather topping on crackers. Allow odd combinations and less than perfect appearance. Too small a family? Invite friends to participate, but not so many that your children's accomplishments are lost in the crowd. (Also strengthens Assets 1, 8, 32, & 38.)
