On into September, I always feel like we’ve come around a corner. I hope everyone had a good summer. This month we’ll have a fundraising booth at Pignic in the Park on Saturday, September 24. This will be a fun event at Oak Tree Park that supports many non-profits on the ridge. Look for the posters for more info. We have an ongoing book sale in two places; the Library and the Ridge Cafe. Thank you all for your donations, our box at the cafe was stuffed!  Also our booth at Ridgestock did great!  Read On!!!

In November, on the ballot will be Measure A. This measure will bring more funding for rural libraries. We are hoping that should it pass, we will receive some of those funds. When voting in November, remember to support measure A!

We have received a puppet theater, and now we are looking for puppeteers. Come talk to us if you’d like to put it to use. The library is also wishing for a benefactor to help with renovations to the children’s space, if someone has time or resources.  As always, we treasure our volunteers! If you have two hours a week and you love libraries, we could use your help, there’s so many interesting tasks.

The Tapestry project stitchers are ever busy, with one tapestry being finished as the next one is beginning. All are invited to join in and stitch along. They meet regularly on Tuesdays 1-3 pm, and Thursdays 10-12. Very talented stitchers inspire and teach inexperienced ones, while sitting around the tapestry absorbed in creation.
