Starting in April, Gold Country Senior Services’ Meals on Wheels Program, in collaboration with the North San Juan Community Center, will begin serving Ridge area seniors. Meals on Wheels provides nutritious meals to seniors who are frail, homebound, and have no other access to nutritious regular meals. Without it many seniors could suffer from malnutrition.

Dedicated to serving community needs, North San Juan Community Center Sue Bauer is enthusiastic about Meals on Wheels becoming available to the Ridge. “Supporting those over 60 is one of our many goals, and this collaborative effort will bring meals and resources to help seniors to continue to age in their own homes and in the community they love.”

To enroll as a Meals on Wheels recipient, or to be a Meals on Wheels volunteer, please call Sue Bauer at 292.9525. Enrollment forms are also available at the Family Resource Center.
